For many decades, the Golden Path (Zlatá stezka) has been connecting the most beautiful and important places in Bohemian Paradise (Český ráj). With a total length of 118 km, it winds through the landscape from Mladá Boleslav to Jičín, overcomes valleys, rock formations, hills, streams, medieval castles and pine forests. Its history began in the second half of the 19th century after Vojta Náprstek took a trip to the Prachovské skály rocks. This is when the Czech Tourist Club was started and Bohemian Paradise started to develop a marked tourist trail system, lookout points, restaurants, etc.
