Many of the towns provide very specific tourist attractions based on their history and traditions, such as the town of Jičín known for a cartoon featuring Rumcajs the highwayman and his family. The original story by Václav Čtvrtek was made into a film by painter Radek Pilař. Therefore, Jičín is referred to as the town of fairy tales. It is also a town associated with Albrecht von Wallenstein. The town of Železný Brod with numerous glass-making workshops is nicknamed the Town of Glass. Turnov is known for its precious stones and jewellery making and Mladá Boleslav is famous for the automotive industry and unique urban architecture.
