Zřícenina hradu Vranov - Pantheon

Na strmém skalním bradle, které se vypíná vysoko nad Jizerou, byl na počátku 15. století postaven jeden z posledních hradů této oblasti, Vranov - Pantheon. Tvoří jednu z dominant Maloskalska.

Pohled z Kozákova

Kozákov je se svými 744 m n. m. nejvyšší horou Českého ráje. Na jeho vrcholu se nachází Riegrova turistická chata a kovová věž, jejíž ochoz ve výšce 24 metrů slouží jako rozhledna.

Přírodní rezervace Prachovské skály patří k nejznámějším oblastem České republiky a je jednou z nejstarších přírodních rezervací v České republice.

Státní zámek Mnichovo Hradiště

Původně renesanční zámek, postavený Václavem Budovcem z Budova, po Bílé hoře přešel do vlastnictví Albrechta z Valdštejna.

Jizera Mountains

Jizera Mountains are one of the oldest natural preserves in the Czech Republic. Up to this day it has preserved the features of Scandinavian forests, which attracts many visitors all year round. It borders with the Giant Mountians in the east and with the Lusetian Mountains in the west. To the most important cities in the region belong Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou. There are many mountain resorts there, for example Janov nad Nisou, Albrechtice v Jizerských horách and Kořenov near the Giant Mountains.

The region is proud of its many look-out towers, to the most famous belong Bramberk, Černá Studnice, Královka or the recently re-opened view tower on mountain Smrk.

During winter months, the Jizera Mountains offer perfect conditions for winter sports. There are good slopes for downhill skiing and many tracks for cross-country skiing, which are called the backbone track of the Jizera Mountains.

In summer, many people come here to go hiking or cycling, there are many tracks for walkers and bikers.

Apart from skiing a hiking, there are many other activities. If you like adventure, you can try the banked chute, snowtubing, ski – jöring, bowling, play tennis or go for a horse ride.

Families with children often visit Aquapark Babylon, holiday resort Pěnčín with a goat farm and a sightseeing train or the banked chute in Janov nad Nisou, which offers a ride to children and adults as well. If you go to Liberec, we recommend to visit the ZOO and Botanical Garden.

There is a wide range of accommodation offering you a comfortable stay in the Jizera Mountains, there are many private places, lodges, farm-houses and hotels.
